Today is Travis’s day off so I am popping in real quick to share an amazing brownie recipe with you all!
I definitely consider myself a baker. I have loved baking as far back as I can remember. Making a cake for someone’s wedding is the ultimate mix of fun and challenge. However, pleasing my husband with delicious treats is also a satisfying job. But, for a man who hates baking/cooking, he sure is picky and opinionated when it comes to eating. So, when he asks me to make something again, I know it’s worth sharing. I found a recipe off allrecipes and modified it just a touch because I love my brownies really chocolaty. I also make a double batch each time and cook them in a 9×13 pan. I feel they don’t come out as gooey when I make one batch in a smaller pan. They just aren’t quite ‘brownie’ enough for me.
Here is my version (doubled and altered) of the ultimate chocolate brownies. They are in no way healthy, but they are yummy!
- 1 cup butter
- 2 1 oz squares semi-sweet baking chocolate
- 2 cup white sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour an 9×13 inch pan. In a large saucepan, melt butter and baking chocolate. Remove from heat, and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Beat in cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder. Spread batter into prepared pan.
- Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Do not overcook.
