Valentines Day Finds

I love Valentines day! When I was young and lived at home every Valentines morning I would wake up to a gift from mom waiting for me on the kitchen counter. And, when dad came home from work that evening he would also have a special something for me. Even when I was a single girl with no prospects later in life, it was still a fav holiday of mine.

I continue to love it because (besides being married now) bright reds and pinks are so refreshing after a winter of snow and cold. I love decorating for the season. Each past year Valentines felt like it came so fast that my decorations don’t get up until a week or so before. Not this year. I’m going straight from Christmas décor to Valentines! (Maybe I got this from working retail for so many years)

Stores like Hobby Lobby and Michaels have frames like the above for really good deals and all it would take is a bit of time and glue to cut out all the hearts – cute!

Again, a trip to the craft store and you could fix a heart mobile easy.

I have so many old frames from when we changed out the windows in our house and both these projects would be great uses for them.

Old books are a dime a dozen at thrift stores.

Now I need to head out to the craft store and grab a few supplies! Have a great ‘hump’ day all! <3
